Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Heinsberg, Germany | Hybrid

We're hiring on behalf of a leading energy infrastructure company that plays a critical role in advancing the energy transition. This employer is committed to supporting clients in achieving climate goals by modernizing and building medium, high, and ultra-high voltage substations across Western Germany. The Role

  • Commission and test electrical equipment for substations up to 380kV, enabling the flow of green energy.
  • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams to drive improvements.
  • Configure and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers (Siemens, Schneider, ABB).
  • Perform precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology using state-of-the-art testing equipment.
  • Support new construction and modernization projects for substations and special grid connection facilities for renewable energies.
  • Contribute to the green future by managing energy transmission and distribution projects, including wind and solar parks.

What You'll Need

  • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering.
  • Proven expertise in protection and/or control technology, with experience in commissioning switchgear according to industry communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104).
  • Familiarity with Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1 configuration software, and OMICROM TestUniverse testing software is advantageous.
  • Strong teamwork, responsibility, decision-making, and communication skills with excellent German proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel primarily Monday to Thursday.
