Job Description

SharePoint Information Coordinator & Data Analyst - Houston, TX

iSphere is looking for a SharePoint Information Coordinator & Data Analyst for a 2-year onsite opportunity in Houston.

This role is part SharePoint administration, part document control, and part data analysis. The client needs someone who can keep a large amount of project information organized, secure, compliant, and actually useful to the people trying to find it later.

You will manage SharePoint libraries, metadata, permissions, file structures, project sites, and access rights while also supporting project records, engineering documents, turnover files, closeout packages, and retention requirements.

You will work with Project Managers, Information Management, engineering firms, contractors, and Operations across a large number of projects. That means there will be no shortage of files, requests, permissions, deadlines, or people asking where something went.

You will also help clean, validate, and prepare data for migrations across SharePoint and shared drives, then turn that information into reporting and metrics the business can actually use.

What we need:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, records management, document control, permissions, filing, retrieval, or a similar business environment

  • Strong SharePoint administration experience

  • Experience managing libraries, metadata, permissions, access rights, and file structures

  • Experience with records retention, archiving, deletion, and compliance requirements

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint

  • Experience with data cleansing, validation, migration readiness, and reporting

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a lot of projects at the same time

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Energy and/or Construction

  • Associate degree or higher

You will also help improve document management procedures, naming conventions, workflows, checklists, job aids, training materials, and project closeout processes.

The client is looking for someone who can become a real resource for the team. You may be helping someone with SharePoint access one minute, tracking down a final turnover document the next, then reviewing data quality or preparing a training session after that.

SAP and LiveLink experience would be a big plus, as would experience with electronic document control systems and formal project closeout processes.

The person who does well here will be organized enough to keep the information clean, technical enough to manage SharePoint properly, and patient enough to help people find what they need without turning every request into a scavenger hunt.

If SharePoint, document control, project information, and data organization are all familiar territory, we should talk.
