Full Stack Developer - 175397 with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer to support a Law Enforcement Client based in Huntsville, AL . This position is a full-time role that will be fully onsite . As a Full Stack Developer - Senior, you will support application design, development, integration, and modernization efforts for a major federal transformation initiative. This role is critical in delivering secure, scalable, cloud-ready solutions across front-end, back-end, API, database, and cloud environments while ensuring compliance with federal security and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities: Application & API Development

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components for enterprise applications.
• Build and optimize REST APIs, microservices, and system-to-system integrations.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability across the full stack. Cloud-Ready Engineering
• Develop cloud-compatible services and applications, with AWS experience preferred.
• Support deployment pipelines, infrastructure integrations, and CI/CD workflows.
• Align application architecture with modernization and cloud migration requirements. Technical Leadership & Collaboration
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Leads, QA Automation Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical design reviews, and demonstrations.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote knowledge sharing across teams. Security, Performance & Compliance
• Implement secure coding practices, logging, auditing, and data handling requirements.
• Conduct application performance tuning, optimization, and reliability improvements.
• Ensure solutions align with federal security standards and governance requirements. Testing & Quality Support
• Support automated testing and validation of application functionality and integrations.
• Troubleshoot defects across the full technology stack and coordinate resolutions with QA teams.
• Validate release readiness and support major deployment activities. Documentation & Reporting
• Develop technical design documents, API specifications, data flow diagrams, and code documentation.
• Maintain engineering artifacts required for releases, sustainment activities, and audits.
• Provide technical updates, status reporting, and insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or full-stack development
• Experience developing both front-end and back-end solutions utilizing modern frameworks
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, relational databases, and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps environments, and automated testing practices
• Experience supporting cloud-based environments, preferably AWS
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across the entire application stack
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience supporting federal government programs is preferred Compensation to include:
• Salary Range: $135,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
