Senior Ruby Developer £450-500 per day Hybrid Working (UK) ASAP Start

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby Developer to join a high-profile digital transformation programme within a secure public sector environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, user-focused services that make a real impact.

The successful candidate will be a strong Ruby on Rails developer who can quickly integrate into an established agile team and contribute from day one.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Ruby on Rails
• Excellent knowledge of Git and GitHub
• Experience working within agile delivery teams
• Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience collaborating within established multidisciplinary teams
• Ideally familiar with GDS service standards and design principles
• Previous experience delivering projects within the public sector or government environment

Requirements

• Active SC clearance preferred, or eligibility to obtain clearance
• Comfortable with occasional travel (typically once per month) to UK client locations
• Available to start at short notice

Contract Details

• Rate: £450-500 per day
• Duration: Initial contract with strong extension potential
• Location: Hybrid, with occasional travel as required
