Job description

Role: QA Tester - Cypress and Selenium
Location: Houston, TX . Brooklyn, NY
Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Tester with hands-on experience in Cypress and Selenium for web application testing. The candidate should have experience testing applications built using Blazor and be comfortable with functional, regression, integration, and UI automation testing.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and Selenium.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UI testing.
  • Test web applications developed using Blazor and identify UI and functional issues.
  • Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  • Analyze requirements and identify test coverage and potential risks.
  • Report, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira/Azure DevOps.
  • Perform cross-browser and responsive web testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to resolve defects.
  • Maintain automation frameworks and improve test coverage and reliability.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles and SDLC/STLC.
  • Hands-on experience with Cypress automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
  • Experience testing Blazor / .NET web applications.
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or C#.
  • Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Knowledge of SQL/database testing.
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Good to Have
  • Experience with Playwright.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and automation.
  • Experience with performance or security testing.
  • Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
