Hiring: Assignment Editor | Sports Media
Location: Bristol, CT Onsite
7-month W2 contract with likely extensions (up to 24 months)
Must-Have:
College degree in Broadcast/related field
Sports & sports media knowledge
TV production / electronic newsgathering experience
Strong organizational & communication skills
Comfortable handling high-volume email/phone traffic
Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom
Nice to Have:
Spanish proficiency
Assignment Desk / Production Coordinator experience
Production crew coordination
International sports / soccer knowledge
ENG/SNG, satellite, fiber, IP, FTP, or digital newsgathering experience
Candidates should be organized, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable responding to breaking news.
