Product Roadmap: What we've delivered so far and what's left to come

This blog outlines the key product features in our Product Roadmap for 2023. We’ve already got the ball rolling with the introduction of role ownership and the release of our newest in-app feature, messaging, but there’s still plenty waiting in the pipeline. Here’s what you can expect:

Messaging

We’ve put our foot on the gas in Q1. We've been busy building our in-app messaging tool, which allows you to start conversations with the tech talent that matters most to you.

On Haystack, you can now keep your conversations all in one place and receive notifications when users have read and responded to your messages. We understand that timescales are limited when expanding your tech team, so you don't need to wait for users to apply to your roles. If you've encountered a user within your Headhunt results, you can message them directly to let them know they're a good fit for your role.

Role ownership

You asked for it, so we delivered. A common request from our partners was the option to be able to filter roles that are only relevant to them. We’re pleased to announce that you can now create a view within the partner platform to show only the jobs and candidates that you’re working on. 

You can now assign yourself as a hiring manager by hitting 'Edit' on the role and scrolling to the bottom to select one or more person(s). You can then filter through your roles by ownership or job status.

We're also giving you the option to choose which email notifications you receive, to keep your inbox tidy and relevant. Head to your 'Settings' to customise when you receive email notifications, to only be notified of applications on your assigned roles.

Haystack Web App

1000s of techies log in to the Haystack mobile app every day to browse the tech scene - but we’re not stopping there. We’re now working on building the Haystack web app, that will take the same game-changing user experience and bring it to the web, unlocking a whole new source of candidates for employers as well as creating an easier discovery and application experience for candidates. Win-win! 

ATS Integration

The Haystack community have been asking for this feature for quite some time, so we’re thrilled to announce that Haystack will soon integrate with 40 major ATS platforms.

An applicant tracking system (ATS) is the software utilised by employers and hiring managers in order to track candidates throughout the recruiting and hiring process. Haystack’s ATS Integration will allow you to:

1. Receive job applications from Haystack directly into your ATS

2. Receive talent pool joins from Haystack directly into your ATS

3. Add profiles from Haystack’s Headhunt into your ATS

4. Synchronise 'Candidates Status' between your ATS and Haystack

5. Post jobs from your ATS to straight to Haystack

All of the above will in turn allow for a more streamlined hiring process, allowing Haystack to integrate into your day to day workflows.

Sourcing improvements and quality-of-life features

We’ve been working hard to improve the sourcing side of Haystack. We want to seamlessly integrate into every hiring manager’s day-to-day workflow. That’s why we’re looking to bring you a whole host of exciting features to level up how you source tech candidates. These include:

• Intelligent filters and sorting, which allows you to hone in on the techies that matter most to your business 
• A revamped candidate profile that gives you all the information upfront. Making your decision-making process faster and slicker 
• Shortcuts and hotkeys that allow you to quickly flick between relevant candidates and take key actions on the ones best suited to you 
• Integrations with the products and tools you use every day to make your lives easier 
• Plus much, much more!
