Job Description

Macquarie's Central Information Protection team is a business critical team within Corporate Operations Group Data and AI. The team supports our diverse groups to manage risks associated with information security and privacy. The team is accountable for the enterprise-wide framework and for the provision of advice and tooling to enable efficient and scalable information security practices.

What role will you play?

As a Data and Information Security Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Information Protection team to enable high quality governance across the enterprise, and for developing standards, guidelines, and controls that align with internal policies and frameworks, as well as jurisdictional regulatory requirements.

What you offer
  • Proven experience in data governance, information security, or risk management roles
  • Strong understanding of data and AI governance frameworks and implementation
  • Knowledge of data security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or similar
  • Experience and/or knowledge of automation capabilities for information discovery and classification
  • Deep understanding of sensitive data concepts, classification models, and protection controls
  • Hands on experience with information security and data protection tooling/platforms
  • Ability to translate security and governance requirements into practical, scalable solutions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities, supported by clear and effective communication
