Job Description

FP&A Insight Analyst (Fixed-Term Contract) Reports to: Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Location: Hybrid working arrangement, with regular attendance at a UK head office and occasional travel to operational sites.
About the Role We are looking for a commercially-minded analyst who enjoys using data to answer complex business questions. This role is focused on uncovering insights, understanding performance drivers, and identifying opportunities to improve decision-making across a multi-site consumer-facing business.
Working closely with the Head of FP&A and operational stakeholders, you will analyse performance trends, customer behaviours, investment outcomes, and operational opportunities. Your findings will help inform strategic and commercial decisions across the business.
This position is dedicated to analysis and insight generation and does not involve responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, or routine management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance, site potential, commercial investments, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Combine financial and operational data to identify trends, investigate performance drivers, and challenge existing assumptions.
  • Collaborate with operational and finance teams to understand key business questions and shape analytical projects accordingly.
  • Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Manage projects from initial briefing through to delivery of practical, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Ensure all analysis is accurate, robust, and aligned with business objectives.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a natural curiosity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate analysis into actionable business recommendations.
  • Confident communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders and presenting complex information in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Experience within a multi-site business environment is essential.
  • Experience in the hospitality, leisure, retail, or other customer-facing sectors would be advantageous.
Working Arrangements This is a hybrid role, requiring regular attendance at the company's head office alongside remote working. Occasional travel may be required to meet stakeholders and visit operational locations.
Further Anonymisation Changes Made
  • Removed company-specific references to pubs, pub estate, and Head Office.
  • Removed the maternity leave reference from the title.
  • Replaced industry-specific wording with broader multi-site business terminology.
  • Removed references that could identify the organisation while retaining the substance of the role.
  • Kept hospitality/multi-site experience requirements broad enough to attract relevant candidates without revealing the employer.
