IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a thriving multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Exeter city centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a Drainage Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Civil Design Engineer looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Working across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments, you'll be responsible for delivering highways, drainage, SuDS and infrastructure design projects from concept through to construction. You'll enjoy genuine project ownership while receiving support towards professional development and Chartership.
Key DutiesDesign and deliver drainage strategies for residential and commercial developments.
Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs.
Prepare Section 104, Section 106 and Section 278 agreements.
Design highways and civil infrastructure solutions.
Liaise with clients, local authorities and internal project teams.
Manage projects from concept through to construction.
Mentor and support junior engineers.
Ensure projects are delivered to programme and budget.
Previous experience as a Civil Engineer with drainage design experience.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Site 3D, Civils 3D, InfoDrainage or similar software.
Good understanding of Section 104, Section 106 and Section 278 agreements.
Ability to manage your own projects and prioritise workload.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
Experience working on residential and commercial developments.
Business development or client relationship management experience.
Working towards or interested in Chartership.
Salary of £35,000-£50,000+ per annum, depending on experience.
