Maximus is currently seeking a Manager, Software Quality Assurance (QA). The Manager, Software Quality Assurance (QA) provides leadership for quality engineering and testing activities across large-scale healthcare technology programs. This role is responsible for defining and executing enterprise test strategies, overseeing quality governance, managing testing across Agile teams and external partners, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in quality engineering, test automation, stakeholder management, and team leadership to drive continuous improvement and support critical business objectives.

This is a Remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage software testing activities for systems implementation, and operations and maintenance software development projects.

- Assign and monitor the tasks assigned to manual and automation test resources.

- Procure and manage the testing environments for application, product, systems integration, regression, and trading partner testing for systems implementation.

- Estimate the testing level of efforts for new projects and client requests.

- Establish standard testing practices for create test scenarios, test scripts, and test data definition.

- Prepare and design test automation strategy, test scripts, and test cases.

- Manage the test automation activities for a release, support UAT, and production support.

- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including; hiring, performance management, and termination.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead all testing and quality engineering activities for system implementation, enhancement, and maintenance projects.

- Manage and mentor manual and automation testing teams, including work allocation, performance management, and career development.

- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, user acceptance, and production validation testing.

- Estimate testing effort, resource needs, and timelines for projects, releases, and client requests.

- Establish and enforce testing standards, methodologies, and best practices for test planning, test case design, automation, and quality reporting.

- Oversee test environment, test data, interface, and dependency readiness to support testing activities.

- Drive the adoption and execution of test automation frameworks, improving efficiency, coverage, and quality outcomes.

- Partner with product, development, infrastructure, business, and client teams to coordinate testing activities and ensure release readiness.

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployments, and post-release validation activities.

- Monitor quality metrics, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate delivery issues.

- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

- Lead personnel activities, including recruitment, coaching, performance evaluations, succession planning, and employee development.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, quality engineering, or test management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within Agile/Scrum environments.

- Experience leading testing efforts for large-scale, complex software implementations.

- Proficiency with test management platforms such as Jira, Xray, and related quality management tools.

- Experience with Software Engineering Intelligence platforms and quality metrics reporting.

- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium or equivalent technologies.

- Hands-on experience with UI, API, integration, regression, end-to-end, performance, and user acceptance testing.

- Knowledge of cloud-based and hybrid application architectures, integration technologies, and security testing practices.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and DevOps practices supporting automated testing.

- Experience using AWS services, including cloud storage and application testing environments.

- Ability to analyze complex technical and business challenges and develop effective quality solutions.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and emerging quality engineering practices.

- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to effectively communicate with technical teams, business partners, clients, and executive leadership.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience implementing and scaling test automation within Agile organizations.

- Healthcare industry experience, preferably supporting regulated healthcare programs.

- Exposure to AI-driven quality engineering and test optimization solutions.
