Urgently Hiring Cooks

National Star Services, a trusted facility management company with over 28 years of nationwide success, is currently hiring Cooks for our location in Des Plaines, IL 60018.

What You'll Do

As a Cook, you will play a key role in food preparation and production while ensuring quality, consistency, and food safety standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food in large quantities following standardized recipes
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards are met
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements
• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment
• Assist with inventory management and waste reduction efforts
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and production-ready
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals

Schedule:

1st Shift: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Days: Monday through Sunday

(Two days off per week; schedule provided by supervisor)

Hourly Pay:

$18.55/hr. (BIWEEKLY PAY)

Requirements:

• Two valid forms of ID.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Previous cooking experience required
• Must have and wear slip-resistant shoes
• Reliable transportation to get to and from work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Available to start working immediately
