Data Engineer

An established global tech company in the B2B data and SaaS space is hiring a full-time, fully remote Data Engineer, open to candidates in Ontario and British Columbia. You'll join a small, high-impact team that partners with business units across the company, from revenue and operations to corporate functions, to solve their data problems. The tech stack spans AWS and Google Cloud Platform and includes BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Databricks, Terraform, and Python. This isn't a heads-down pipeline role, and it isn't a reporting role either. The team works like an internal consultancy.

You'll sit down with a business group, learn what's actually slowing it down, then architect and build the fix. You pick the tools. Some problems call for Databricks, some for dbt, and some for a custom pipeline on AWS. The hiring manager wants a problem-solver with an analytics mindset: someone who listens first, translates a messy business ask into a clean technical solution, and owns it all the way into production. Because the work rotates across departments, you'll build broad multi-cloud experience fast and get visibility across the whole organization.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of data engineering experience, with ownership of production pipelines
Python or Go, plus strong SQL
AWS and Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery
dbt
Fivetran
Databricks / Spark
Terraform or another IaC tool
Ability to scope problems with non-technical stakeholders and architect solutions end-to-end
An analytics mindset: you understand how data will be used, even though you won't be building reports
