Job Description

Kaizen Approach is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to perform and review technical security assessments of computing environments in support of secure mission operations. In this role, you will identify system vulnerabilities and non-compliance with Information Assurance standards, validate and verify system security requirements, and design, develop, implement, or integrate security solutions across networking, computing, and enclave environments.

This position involves building information assurance into operational systems, supporting security architecture development, enforcing trusted relationships among systems, and assessing and mitigating security risks throughout the program life cycle. You will also contribute to security planning, risk management, certification and accreditation activities, and support security authorization efforts in compliance with NSA/CSS and DoD Risk Management Framework processes.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to participate as a security engineering representative, including as the primary security engineering representative, on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
  • Must possess the ability to participate as a security engineering representative, including as the primary representative, on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of information assurance architectures, systems, and system components.
  • Must be capable of applying knowledge of information assurance policies, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
  • Must have the ability to interact directly with the customer and other project team members while supporting Government enforcement of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
  • Must possess the ability to support and provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management activities and identify overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data.
  • Must be capable of performing system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, including environments with differing data protection and classification requirements.
  • Must have the ability to recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements across complex system and network environments.
  • Must have twelve (12) years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, including recent experience within the last five (5) years with cybersecurity principles and technologies such as access control, authorization, identification and authentication, PKI, and network and enterprise security architecture.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, OR seventeen (17) years of ISSE experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, and must meet DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
