Job Description

A well-known multimedia company, based in Boston, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale world-class digital platforms that serve millions of users. This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex features across a sophisticated MarTech ecosystem, with a focus on delivering seamless, high-performance digital experiences. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled full-stack engineer with deep expertise in Node.js, React, AWS, and modern cloud-native development practices, who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-traffic customer-facing applications, influence technical architecture, and collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Marketing Technology teams. Beyond hands-on development, the successful candidate will help drive engineering excellence through mentorship, code quality initiatives, architectural leadership, and continuous improvement of development processes and platforms. Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience in a product-focused environment
  • Expert-level proficiency with Node.js, and React
  • Strong experience designing and building scalable, high-traffic web applications
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment
  • Strong background in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design and development
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Proven ability to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Strong testing discipline, including unit, integration, and automated testing
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs to diverse stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience supporting CMS platforms and content management integrations
  • Exposure to subscription billing systems and payment platform integrations
  • Knowledge of marketing technology (MarTech) ecosystems and customer engagement platforms
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging tools
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code and cloud automation practices
  • Experience designing event-driven or microservices-based architectures

Daily Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of complex, high-traffic features from concept through production deployment
  • Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code across the full technology stack
  • Conduct and lead code reviews to ensure engineering excellence and knowledge sharing
  • Proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and system reliability issues
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to design scalable technical solutions
  • Build and maintain integrations across CMS platforms, subscription systems, and MarTech tools
  • Champion modern engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, and observability
