Sr. Database Administrator / Engineer – Exadata with Security Clearance

Sr. Database Administrator / Engineer – Exadata Fort Meade, MD We are looking for a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years Oracle DBA experience supporting large-scale or enterprise level database services. This is for a funded, long-term contract. Responsibilities * Provide technology and industry leadership on large and/or more complex IT engagements * Lead enterprise wide solution engagements for high quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget * Develop an integrated and robust solution based on customer needs combining GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third party components * Provide subject matter experience to assist customer through difficult business decisions * Design, configure, and implement all aspects of the full stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge in IT product offerings, and business acumen * Recommend enhancements to meet complex customer needs Requirements * TS/SCI FSP Clearance * BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years’ experience * 10 + years’ experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle’s database (10 – current). Extensive experience with database design and modeling, including the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning. * Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery * Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration * Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills About Us For more than 20 years, NewGen Technologies has solved our clients’ toughest IT challenges with integrity, security, and outstanding service by delivering both technology and talent.
