Job Description
The Azure DevOps Engineer will provide technical ownership of the Azure platform and deployment processes supporting. The role will work with EY engineers and technology teams to establish reliable, secure and repeatable delivery across Development, Test/UAT and Production, while reducing dependency on external resources for deployment troubleshooting and ongoing platform operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Azure infrastructure and deployment requirements for across Development, Test/UAT and Production.
Design, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated build, deployment and release processes.
Support containerized application deployment, Azure Kubernetes/container platforms and Azure Container Registry where applicable.
Troubleshoot application deployment, environment configuration, frontend/backend/API connectivity and platform issues.
Coordinate networking, firewall, DNS, certificates, VPN and connectivity requirements with Infrastructure teams.
Support Azure identity, managed identities, service principals, secrets and Key Vault integration.
Partner with Security on SSO, RBAC, access controls and cloud security requirements.
Manage environment specific application configuration and support technical validation before promotion.
Establish monitoring, logging, alerting and operational dashboards for application and platform health.
Develop repeatable deployment, rollback, recovery and release procedures.
Support Infrastructure as Code and automation practices where appropriate.
Participate in production readiness reviews, releases, go live and hypercare.
Maintain environment, pipeline, deployment and operational documentation.
Transfer platform knowledge to IT/AMS support resources and support ongoing troubleshooting.
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, automation, performance and cloud operating cost.
RELEVANT TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE
Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps; CI/CD pipeline design and support.
Docker, Kubernetes / AKS or comparable container orchestration platforms.
Azure Container Registry, Azure Key Vault, Azure networking / VNet, managed identities and service principals.
Entra ID, SSO and RBAC.
Azure monitoring, logging and alerting.
Azure Databricks / Data Lake integration exposure is preferred.
APIs, microservices, PostgreSQL or comparable cloud database platforms.
Infrastructure as Code and automated environment/configuration management.
REQUIRED / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
5+ years of Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering or comparable experience.
Strong hands on Microsoft Azure experience supporting enterprise applications.
Experience promoting applications through Development, QA/UAT and Production environments.
Experience with cloud security, identity, networking, secrets
management and troubleshooting across application/infrastructure layers.
Experience working with external development partners and supporting applications through go live and production support.
Azure certifications are preferred but not required.
