Job Description

World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage is currently looking to recruit an IT Software Asset Manager on an initial 12 month contract.

Key skills and experience required:
  • Management of SNOW Software License management tool.
  • Software life cycle management
  • End-to-end Software license compliance for software on the estate

Rate: £65 per hour
Location: Stevenage
Hybrid/Remote working: 2 days per week onsite and the rest remote from home
Contract: 37 Hours per week
Overtime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at 'time and a quarter'
Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

IT Software Asset Manager Job Description:
Digital Excellence function providing IT Services to the business.

Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for management of end-to-end Software license compliance for software on the estate
  2. Management of SNOW Software License management tool.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of Software licensing rules, licensing Implications, software metering and methods to optimize utilization.
  4. Advise on, design, implement and manage best practices and internal processes of licensing methodology to optimize costs.
  5. Provide assistance and guidance to the userbase on software license procurement and utilisation
  6. Software life cycle management
  7. Conduct regular and consistent audits across the estate measuring deployment vs entitlement, including the analysis of contractual and financial status, to understand and report on the effective license position.
  8. Report and verify all software, versions & volumes installed on the estate.
  9. Maintain the record of Proof of Licenses.
  10. Maintenance of process and procedural documentation


Skillset/experience required:
SNOW expertise.
