Job Description
We are looking for a strategic National Account Sales Director to Sell, Grow, and Manage a vertical portfolio of industrial service accounts. This role focuses on long-term customer partnerships, service agreement growth, retention, and account profitability. The right candidate operates as a trusted advisor to customers and a strategic leader internally, ensuring strong delivery while expanding our footprint within each account.
This is a strategic ownership role focused on long-term customer value and account performance targeting Industrial Accounts.
This position can be based in our Beaumont, Houston, Lake Charles or Baton Rouge offices. This role may also be in the Southeast or remote.
What You’ll Do
- Own and grow a portfolio of industrial service accounts
- Drive service agreement expansion, multi-year commitments, and additional locations
- Lead contract negotiation, renewals and customer value reviews
- Identify system upgrades, modernization projects, and lifecycle opportunities
- Build relationships with key decision-makers
- Develop annual account plans and long-term growth strategies
- Use service history and equipment data to guide customer recommendations
- Partner with operations teams to ensure execution aligns with commitments

What This Role Is Not
- Not a small transactional selling role
- Not an estimating or operations role
What We’re Looking For
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required.
- 3–5+ years of experience selling and managing strategic accounts within a defined industry vertical (Industrial)
- Experience managing commercial or industrial service accounts (HVAC / Plumbing preferred)
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Proven ability to grow existing accounts
- Skilled at building relationships at multiple levels of an organization
- Ability to analyze systems and recommend long-term solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and overseeing mechanical projects from start to finish.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth communication and project flow.
- Monitor project progress and support the resolution of any issues or delays that arise.
- Coordinate on-site activities to maintain safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Support procurement activities and track the delivery of equipment and materials.
- Assist in managing project budgets and cost control.
- Facilitate meetings and prepare minutes to keep all stakeholders informed.
To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified for this position, a person would be expected to have:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher, may be substituted for experience in the industry
- Experience: 3-10 years working in a high-level Customer Relations Role
- Specialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of Job: Highly effective external communication skills with a strong customer orientation and attention to detail, ability to be proficient in the use of multiple computer systems.
- Special Skills: The ability to work well with others in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, ability to work to become proficient in following, memorizing and understanding standard operating procedures and practices, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Presentation skills are a plus.
- Other: Basic computer knowledge; Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel; experience with CRM applications a plus.
