Job Description
Radar Applications Incorporated (RAI) is a rapidly growing company delivering advanced sensor technologies for airborne and satellite radar missions. We seek highly motivated professionals to support our existing R&D programs and to help us solve challenging problems for our Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and commercial customers. We have an immediate opening for a Junior Systems Administrator in Ann Arbor, MI. This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities • Provide day-to-day technical support for Windows laptops, printers, peripherals, network connectivity, and business and engineering applications. • Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, and troubleshoot access to shared files and collaboration services. • Prepare, deploy, and maintain company laptops using established Microsoft Intune configurations, application packages, and security policies. • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment assignments, account setup, group membership, and approved access changes in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID. • Assist with routine Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior IT staff. • Monitor device and system health, review alerts, deploy approved updates, and assist with vulnerability remediation using Intune, Microsoft Defender, and Nessus. • Troubleshoot basic wired, wireless, and VPN connectivity issues; escalate complex network issues. • Follow established procedures to apply security configurations, assist with DISA STIG and CIS Benchmark checks, and collect documentation supporting DoD cybersecurity and RMF requirements. • Perform backups and assist with file recovery, recovery testing, and system restoration under senior staff guidance. • Maintain equipment inventories, support tickets, system documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures. • Assist with infrastructure upgrades and use approved PowerShell or Bash scripts to perform routine administrative tasks. • Follow company access-control and sensitive-data handling procedures, promptly escalating suspected security incidents and issues requiring elevated administrative changes.

Qualifications • Must be a U.S.

Citizen • Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance. • 0–5 years of IT support experience; relevant internships, coursework, military experience, or hands-on lab projects may substitute for professional experience. • Working knowledge of Windows desktop troubleshooting, computer hardware, and Microsoft 365 applications. • Basic understanding of Active Directory, user permissions, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity. • Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, or a demonstrated ability to learn them. • Understanding of foundational security practices, including multifactor authentication, least privilege, patching, and phishing awareness. • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to recognize when to escalate an issue. • Exposure to Linux, PowerShell, Nessus, or Microsoft 365 is a plus. • Ability to obtain an IAT Level II certification within 6 months, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365, particularly in a hybrid Active Directory environment. • Exposure to Windows Server or Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, including routine maintenance, file permissions, and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Nessus/ACAS, DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, or RMF activities in a DoD or federal IT environment. • Experience with basic PowerShell or Bash scripting, backup and recovery procedures, or troubleshooting switches, wireless networks, and VPN connections. • Experience installing, updating, and troubleshooting MATLAB and associated toolboxes, including license configuration. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. • Current DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent.

Compensation • Salary: $60,000-80,000 depending on experience • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k+Profit Sharing, Holidays, PTO, and Sick Leave.
