Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice in Bannockburn. In this rewarding role, you will be at the heart of our patient care delivery, supporting our clinical team and ensuring every patient receives exceptional care and support. As a Dental Nurse, you will bring your clinical expertise, organisational skills and empathetic approach to create a welcoming and efficient environment where patients feel valued and colleagues feel supported.

  • Provide skilled chairside assistance to dentists during a variety of clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times - Prepare and maintain the treatment environment, including sterilisation and infection control procedures in accordance with best practice guidelines - Manage patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly and thoroughly
  • Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety, explain procedures and provide post-treatment care instructions - Assist with patient induction and help create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes trust and confidence - Support the wider dental team through efficient coordination and collaboration, anticipating needs and responding proactively - Maintain high standards of clinical and personal hygiene, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the practice by managing instruments, materials and equipment responsibly - Undertake administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient communication and practice organisation - Demonstrate resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment, managing multiple priorities with composure - Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills

**Required:** - Active General Dental Council (GDC) registration - Proven dental nursing experience at a good level, demonstrating clinical competence and confidence - Sound knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures - Strong organisational and time-keeping skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent people skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues - Proficiency in patient record-keeping and dental practice administration - Commitment to professional development and maintaining CPD requirements **Desirable:**
  • Experience working in a busy, multi-clinician practice environment - Familiarity with dental practice management software systems - Additional qualifications in dental radiography or other dental specialisms - Experience in patient care coordination and practice induction - Demonstrated ability to work flexibly across different clinical settings
