Title: SAP FICO Analyst
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6 months with potential for extension based on performance and business needs

Job Description

The SAP FICO Analyst will play a key role in defining technology standards, shaping long-term SAP roadmaps, and supporting critical business operations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving to ensure stability, integrity, and continuous improvement of the SAP landscape. The position reports directly to the SAP Manager.

Technology Strategy & Governance

• Define and manage technology standards that align with overall IT goals and business strategy.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps supporting both short- and long-term objectives.
• Participate in and lead functional forums to drive alignment and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership for initiatives focused on continuous improvement.

Project & Vendor Management

• Plan, organize, and direct operational improvement projects, including capital project evaluation and execution.
• Provide technical input for vendor selection and manage relationships with managed services and hosting partners.
• Oversee external consultant contracts and budgets to ensure value and alignment with business needs.

SAP Landscape & Technical Support

• Develop long-term plans for SAP systems, including upgrades, facility improvements, and troubleshooting processes.
• Ensure integrity and functional consistency of the SAP landscape while coordinating with AMS and hosting partners.
• Troubleshoot SAP process issues to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
• Assist business departments in effectively using SAP and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

SOX, Compliance & Documentation

• Support ITSOX compliance activities within a public company environment, working directly with auditors.
• Document processes, configuration changes, and proposals with clarity and structure.
• Ensure adherence to compliance procedures across SAP-related workflows.

Business Support & Testing

• Troubleshoot user issues and provide hands-on support without requiring development work.
• Work with business users to gather requirements, ask relevant questions, and understand testing impacts across the SAP landscape.
• Manage AMS vendor performance and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong SAP functional knowledge, particularly in FICO and Materials Management/Purchasing.
• Experience with public cloud environments and hands-on problem-solving.
• Experience with U.S. SOX and ITGC requirements in a public company setting.
• Ability to influence across IT and business teams and resolve conflicts to reach shared goals.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, including senior-level communication.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities, including mentoring and coaching.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a results-oriented mindset.
