Job description

Join a dynamic Program Tooling & Analytics Developer role focused on building internal web tools, dashboards, and data solutions that help teams make faster, better-informed decisions. This is an onsite opportunity in Foster City, CA, where you'll work closely with cross-functional partners to turn complex data into practical, usable insights.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain internal web tools and dashboards that support program planning, execution, and executive decision-making.
  • Translate business questions into scoped technical solutions, iterating quickly based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Design and support the data layer behind tools, including queries, transformations, and pipelines that keep information current.
  • Develop geospatial tooling and visualizations that help evaluate and compare service area opportunities.
  • Work with large, messy, real-world datasets and clearly surface data gaps, assumptions, and confidence levels.
  • Collaborate with TPMs, engineers, and other partners to deliver tools that are useful, understandable, and actionable.
  • Own projects end to end from prototype through release and ongoing iteration.
Skills
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build web tools or dashboards from start to finish through coursework, internships, research, or personal projects.
  • Strong Python skills and working knowledge of SQL.
  • Front-end development experience with React/TypeScript or a Python-based framework such as Streamlit, Dash, or Flask.
  • Experience with a visualization library such as Plotly or D3.
  • Solid software fundamentals, including version control, code review, and readable code.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort working with incomplete or imperfect data and knowing when results are not reliable enough to present.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with geospatial tools such as GeoPandas, Shapely, OSMnx, H3, Mapbox, Leaflet, deck.gl, or QGIS.
  • Experience working with open data sources such as OpenStreetMap or Overture Maps.
  • Exposure to large-scale data processing or BI tools such as Databricks, PySpark, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Background in routing, graph algorithms, or network analysis.
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, mapping, mobility data, or internal tools used by cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort using generative AI coding tools thoughtfully, with careful review and testing before delivery.
