Job description

The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a Southeast Business Unit Leader to join an established IT services organization with a strong base of enterprise clients. This is a fully remote, full-time direct-hire role based out of Atlanta, Georgia, and the client is filling two openings. The Southeast Business Unit Leader will own a sizable regional portfolio and lead year-over-year growth across it. The role blends commercial strategy, market expansion, and executive relationship building. It shapes how the client competes in established hubs while opening new, high-potential territories across the Southeast.

What You’ll Do

  • Steward the performance and expansion of a sizable Southeast portfolio that spans both strategic and emerging client accounts, generating steady year-over-year growth.
  • Craft and carry out a regional game plan that covers both mature and developing markets.
  • Spearhead the client’s Southeast presence, from established hubs like Atlanta and Florida to rising territories including North Carolina and additional high-growth locations.
  • Expand the client’s footprint into untapped markets through focused business development and partner-ecosystem outreach.
  • Instill rigorous account management practices among the account managers on the team, sparking proactive expansion within current clients.
  • Engage personally in pivotal client relationships and the most valuable strategic pursuits.
  • Deepen ties across major enterprise accounts to capture a larger share of wallet.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to generate a robust pipeline and turn it into closed business.
  • Standardize the region’s go-to-market approach, including account planning, pipeline building, and cross-selling of the client’s capabilities and offerings.
  • Harness the client’s worldwide delivery and solutions strength to put distinctive offerings in front of the market.
  • Align closely with the Regional Head of Delivery, who heads the Delivery Manager group, so new business efforts and delivery execution move in lockstep.
  • Safeguard delivery quality and client satisfaction at high levels, making sure operational excellence fuels lasting account growth.
  • Launch co-selling and joint go-to-market programs alongside strategic alliance partners such as the major cloud hyperscalers.
  • Cultivate partner channels into a meaningful engine of qualified pipeline and added revenue.
  • Champion the client across the region’s business and technology community.
  • Forge connections with customers, alliance partners, and community organizations to reinforce the client’s standing in the region.
  • Elevate the client’s public profile by hosting and attending events, executive roundtables, and industry forums.
  • Direct a VP-level market leader who owns a priority metro area or sector.
  • Supervise the Account Manager team.
  • Coordinate with multiple Sales Managers through a matrix reporting line.
  • Win strategic new clients every year that offer strong multi-year expansion potential.
  • Embed rigorous planning and governance at the account level to fuel proactive expansion.

What You Bring

  • Proven Organizational Leadership across sizable, complex operations spanning several markets and territories
  • A strong record of Enterprise Account Growth at scale and of landing net-new logos through New Client Acquisition
  • Skill in aligning cross-functional groups spanning sales, delivery, Account Management, and Partner Ecosystem functions
  • Results in expanding Strategic Accounts and capturing new enterprise customers
  • Experience steering Complex Deal Pursuits and leading Executive Relationship Management with client leadership
