Position Summary

Credence has an upcoming need for a SAF/CNB Division Lead. The SAF/CNB Division Lead serves as the senior contractor representative and day-to-day integration lead for all work performed in support of SAF/CNB. This Key Personnel designation is independent of the individual’s primary technical labor category. The selected Lead will also fill one of the eligible CNB technical assignments listed below while providing leadership across the full team. The Lead integrates architecture, investment, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI considerations into decision-quality products that enable SAF/CNB to govern and modernize the DAF business enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities

Division Leadership, Integration, and Executive Support

  • Lead and integrate contractor execution across all SAF/CNB work and serve as the principal division-level interface to SAF/CNB leadership and the Contractor Program Manager.
  • Provide expert guidance on BMA strategy alignment, governance, implementation, and the relationship of BMA initiatives to DAF-wide strategic goals.
  • Translate SAF/CNB priorities into coordinated work plans, assignments, decision products, and measurable outcomes; match work to the appropriate portfolio, architecture, ITAM, PPBE, data, or cloud/AI specialist.
  • Coordinate horizontally and vertically across BMA systems, mission areas, SAF/CNS, SAF/CNZ, SAF/CND, program managers, acquisition organizations, and PPBE stakeholders.
  • Establish team priorities, monitor workload and statutory or DAF suspenses, resolve cross-functional dependencies, mentor personnel, and elevate staffing, schedule, quality, or mission risks before they affect performance.
  • Review and approve team products for analytic rigor, data and metadata quality, governing-policy alignment, and readiness for Government decision, drawing on the responsible technical specialist when the product falls outside the Lead’s primary discipline.

Technical Contribution

  • Perform substantive technical work in at least one CNB mission area, based on the individual’s qualifications and assigned labor category: BMA portfolio governance; enterprise architecture and metadata; IT asset management and enterprise services; PPBE and investment analysis; data modeling and data-environment development; or BMA cloud and AI integration.
  • Apply sufficient working knowledge across the remaining CNB mission areas to integrate specialist outputs, identify conflicts or gaps, understand architecture, investment, data, RMF, and modernization dependencies, and present a unified recommendation to Government leadership.
  • Oversee issue papers, decision briefs, roadmap updates, architecture and portfolio reviews, executive presentations, models, metrics, and recommendations addressing BMA governance, integration, investment, cloud and AI adoption, cost, risk, and sequencing.
  • Ensure architecture metadata, IT portfolio, asset-lifecycle, PPBE, data-quality, cloud/AI integration, and RMF coordination activities are performed consistently across the operating baseline of approximately 360 BMA systems.
  • Maintain visibility of division trackers, architecture metadata completeness, investment-cycle inputs, asset and license reporting, data-modeling activity, modernization assessments, pilot outcomes, and statutory or DAF suspense dates.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance at minimum.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, professional training, and directly relevant experience. A STEM, data, architecture, business, finance, or information-systems degree may be required when dictated by the individual’s primary technical assignment.
  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in business mission governance, enterprise or business architecture, IT portfolio or asset management, PPBE and investment analysis, data architecture/modeling, cloud/AI integration, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders and leading cross-functional technical or analytical teams in a complex Federal, DoW/DoD, or DAF environment.
  • Subject matter expertise sufficient to perform one or more CNB technical functions identified above, together with broad working knowledge of BMA governance and modernization sufficient to lead and integrate a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent priorities and develop or oversee executive briefings, decision-quality analyses, architecture or portfolio reviews, investment products, data models, roadmaps, metrics, and technically accurate written products.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid NCR environment, report to the Pentagon or other Government facilities as mission needs require, and perform independently without routine Government or Contract PM assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting SAF/CNB, a Business Mission Area governance organization, Headquarters Air Force, a Service CIO, or an equivalent Federal enterprise architecture or IT portfolio office.
  • Relevant role-specific credentials, such as ITIL Foundation, a cloud architect certification, or a recognized enterprise architecture credential, when aligned to the individual’s primary technical assignment.
  • Experience in two or more CNB mission areas, enabling effective integration across technical specialties.
  • Experience with DAF Architecture Repository, DARS, AFWAY, PPBE, DESMF, BMA cloud modernization, enterprise data governance, or AI-enabled business-process improvement.

Performance Expectations

  • Owns the technical quality, integration, and timely delivery of CNB work products, including strategic guidance, architecture and portfolio reviews, investment analyses, asset-management products, data models, and cloud/AI recommendations.
  • Ensures 100% on-time delivery of IT portfolio inputs against published statutory and DAF suspense dates and that products demonstrate analytic rigor and accuracy.
  • Maintains monthly architecture metadata completeness metrics and Government-visible architecture, ITAM, cloud/AI integration, data-modeling, and pilot outcome documentation.
  • Supports accurate and timely reporting through the Program Manager and identifies workload, dependency, schedule, and performance risks for inclusion in the Monthly Status Report.
