Cost Analyst

Job Summary

The Analyst will be responsible for processing and auditing telecom invoices for clients using BillTrak, TEOCO’s cost assurance system. The role involves invoice processing, reconciliation, investigating audit exceptions, creating disputes for invalid billing, and supporting client requests and reconciliation activities for assigned vendor accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and audit telecom invoices using BillTrak, TEOCO’s cost assurance system.

• Perform invoice reconciliation and investigate audit exceptions.

• Identify invalid billing and create disputes as required.

• Validate and document all change activity.

• Develop a thorough understanding of client billing systems, vendor billing terms, and the structure of the client’s contract repository.

• Understand the client’s ordering, provisioning, and billing systems to which the team has been granted access.

• Understand the spend and billing terms for assigned vendors, including contracts, service guides, price lists, ICAs, and other relevant documents.

• Learn and use Business Objects, the reporting tool within the application, to support reporting requirements.

• Support client requests related to assigned vendor accounts.

• Assist with reconciliation activities for claims assigned to the respective vendors.

• Ensure vendor responses designated as “Auditor Review” are addressed promptly.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Good analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to understand billing documentation, contractual terms, and invoice discrepancies.

• Willingness to learn BillTrak, Business Objects, and client-specific systems and processes.
