Role          : Aircraft Structural Dynamics Engineer

Location    : Montreal, Quebec, Canada (Onsite)
Duration    : Full time

 

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and driven Aircraft Structural Dynamics Engineer to join our engineering team in Montreal, Quebec. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting both new aircraft design studies and the continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft. You will leverage your expertise in aeroelasticity and finite element modeling to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure the highest standards of safety and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Aeroelastic & Aero servo elastic Simulations: Perform advanced simulations to support new aircraft design initiatives and maintain the airworthiness of existing fleets.
  • Engineering Analysis & Judgment: Apply sound engineering principles, methods, techniques, and specialized tools to solve complex structural dynamics issues.
  • Finite Element Modeling (FEM): Prepare, update, and maintain detailed finite element models to conduct comprehensive aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic analyses.
  • Methodology & Software Development: Maintain, develop, and thoroughly document in-house engineering methods and software tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Advanced Design, Aerodynamics, Structures, Mass Properties, and Flight Controls/Control Laws.
  • Testing Support: Actively support Ground Vibration Testing (GVT) and Flight Flutter Testing (FFT), including the post-processing and analysis of test results.
  • Technical Documentation: Author clear, comprehensive engineering certification reports, documentation, and presentations in English.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace specialization. (An advanced degree is considered a strong asset).
  • Experience: Relevant, hands-on engineering experience within the aerospace industry, specifically focused on structural dynamics, aeroelasticity, or a related discipline.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (essential for documentation and certification reporting).
