The Role

• Take responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within the school environment.
• Liaise daily with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carers, and staff on safeguarding matters.
• Act as a key source of advice, support, and expertise for the school team.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different locations to share best practices and enhance skills.
• Report directly to the Head Teacher as part of the school's leadership team.
• Contribute to the development of a safe and nurturing environment for all pupils.

What You'll Need

• At least 3 years of experience in a Designated Safeguarding Lead role.
• A comprehensive portfolio of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) related to Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem-resolution skills.
• A genuinely empathetic and child-centred approach.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A strong understanding of the needs of pupils with autism and associated difficulties.
