Sales Assistant, Fresh Food Counter | Wedemark, Germany | On-site

We are hiring for a leading national grocery retailer with a strong focus on fresh, high-quality products and exceptional customer service. Our fresh food counter is the heart of our store, offering a wide variety of meats, cheeses, and deli items. The Role

  • Advise customers with expertise on fresh products, including meat, sausage, and cheese.
  • Create high-quality, appealing presentations of fresh food items.
  • Prepare and portion products, including creating specialties according to in-house recipes.
  • Implement sales-promoting measures and merchandising ideas to enhance product appeal.
  • Ensure excellent product presentation, freshness, and adherence to hygiene standards.

What You'll Need

  • Ideally, completed vocational training or professional experience in food retail or gastronomy.
  • Experience handling and preparing fresh food products is welcome, even as a career changer.
  • Genuine interest in working with and preparing fresh meat and deli items.
  • Passion for customer interaction and a strong interest in retail.
  • Excellent customer orientation, communication skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility.
