Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD with Jenkins and a proven ability to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native microservices and APIs across the full SDLC.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications.

Participate in all SDLC phases including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.

Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.

Create and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for build, test, and deployment automation.

Perform code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.

Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.

Integrate applications with internal and external systems via APIs, messaging, and cloud services.

Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and application monitoring.

Implement security best practices, coding standards, and compliance requirements.

Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational procedures.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements for performance and efficiency.

Support production deployments and resolve application issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of professional software development experience using Java.

Strong experience with Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented design principles.

Hands-on experience building microservices with Spring Boot.

Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API integration.

Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.

Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.

Proficiency with Git and source code management practices.

Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.

Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud security principles.

AWS Certification such as Developer Associate or Solutions Architect is a plus.
