Position: Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer

Location: Richmond, Virginia 23219

Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description: Seeking an experienced Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer to design, manage, and optimize OCI-based database, middleware, and infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will implement high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and secure cloud operations. Key responsibilities include database upgrades, RMAN-based backups, WebLogic administration, and collaboration with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployments.
  • Hands-on OCI expertise with Oracle Database 19c/26ai, PDB/CDB, and DBaaS in OCI
  • Proficiency in Oracle APEX (18+) and ORDS (22+), Oracle WebLogic Server, OEM 24ai
  • Strong Linux/Unix scripting, RMAN backup/recovery, DG/standby configurations, and PSU patching
  • Experience with GitLab/Ansible for automation; containerization with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Cloud architecture for high availability, DR, security best practices, performance tuning; on-call 24/7 support
