Seven West Media merged with Southern Cross Media Group (ASX: SXL) in January 2026 to create one of Australia's most prominent media companies, with a market-leading presence across television, audio, publishing and digital.
Seven West owns some of Australia's most renowned media businesses and platforms, including the Seven Network and its affiliate channels 7two, 7mate, 7flix and 7Bravo; 7plus; LiSTNR; the Hit and Triple M radio networks; The Nightly; The West Australian; The Sunday Times; and PerthNow.
Join Seven's Broadcast Support team in Sydney and play a critical role in supporting iconic programs including Sunrise, The Morning Show, 7NEWS and major live broadcast events.
Working with the latest broadcast and 2110 IP technologies, you'll maintain and support studio, production and broadcast IT systems, ensuring seamless operations across a fast-paced, live television environment.
This role suits a technically curious and proactive problem-solver who enjoys troubleshooting, continuous learning and delivering innovative solutions. Please note this position operates on a 24/7 rotating roster to support Seven's broadcast operations.
What you'll do:- Maintain, repair, and support broadcast production systems and equipment across studios, control rooms, editing, ingest, graphics, MCR, and broadcast IT infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to maximise system availability and provide critical support to live productions.
- Install, commission, configure, and administer broadcast and IP-based technology systems, including software, networks, and user accounts.
- Work closely with production teams, vendors, and third-party support providers to resolve faults, implement upgrades, and improve system performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through proactive maintenance, documentation, research and development, system monitoring, and technology enhancements.
- Experience or strong knowledge of broadcast technology, including television systems, broadcast IT, IP networking, and basic electronics.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work calmly and systematically in a fast-paced, live production environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
- Hands-on technical capability, including Windows/Linux administration, use of broadcast testing equipment, and the ability to install and maintain technical hardware.
- A proactive learning mindset with a genuine interest in new technologies, continuous improvement, and developing specialist expertise in broadcast or IT systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a solid understanding of the digital and TV landscape.
