Safety Manager 3

As the Safety Manager, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment across Nokia's manufacturing & repair operations. You will partner closely with operations teams to implement and execute security, health, and safety standards, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company requirements. By leveraging continuous improvement methodologies, you will lead initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate security, physical, and workplace risks, fostering a culture of safety, security, and well-being for employees, contractors, and visitors.

• Lead the implementation of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, standards, and regulatory requirements across repair factory operations. 

• Drive a proactive safety culture by coaching leaders, engaging employees and contractors, and promoting safe behaviors at all levels. 

• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments, including HIRA, HAZOP, JSA, FMEA, ergonomic, and fire risk assessments, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions. 

• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions. 

• Plan and execute HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and company requirements. 

• Monitor site operations, support emergency preparedness programs, and exercise stop-work authority when critical safety risks are identified. 

• Manage contractor and supplier safety programs, including high-risk activities and safety performance assessments. 

• Analyze HSE performance metrics, lead safety reviews, support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) and a Government-recognized Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety as required under applicable Factory Rules. 

• 12-15 years of HSE experience, including 5-7 years in manufacturing/factory operations and experience in a leadership or managerial role. 

• Strong knowledge of Indian HSE regulations, Factories Act, OSHWC Code, Haryana Factory Rules, and environmental compliance requirements. 

• Expertise in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Risk Assessment methodologies (HIRA, HAZOP, JSA, FMEA), Incident Investigation, PTW, LOTO, and Contractor Safety Management. 

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience using HSE management systems, reporting tools, and dashboards.

Good-to-Have Skills

• NEBOSH or equivalent Occupational Health & Safety certification. 

• ISO 45001/ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification, Fire Safety certification, Incident Investigation training, or experience with HSE analytics and digital safety platforms.
