A leading international investment and fund management organisation with a well-established footprint in Luxembourg is seeking an experienced Compliance professional to strengthen its independent second-line control function.
The organisation oversees a diverse range of regulated investment vehicles across both traditional and alternative asset classes and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic regulatory initiatives, and the ongoing enhancement of a sophisticated compliance framework within a dynamic and evolving environment.

As a senior member of the Compliance function, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation's regulatory integrity by identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating compliance-related risks. You will work across a broad set of topics, including AML/CTF, regulatory oversight, compliance monitoring, governance, policy management and regulatory change implementation.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage compliance risk assessments across regulated activities and investment structures.
- Oversee and continuously enhance AML/CTF controls, compliance monitoring programmes, conflict-of-interest frameworks and related governance processes.
- Analyse regulatory developments at both Luxembourg and European levels and support the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
- Review, maintain and strengthen internal compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks.
- Lead and document thematic reviews, compliance testing activities and AML assessments, including the monitoring of remediation actions.
- Provide commercially aware and pragmatic compliance guidance to business and operational teams.
- Support the ongoing development, harmonisation and optimisation of compliance processes and controls.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, workflow improvements and enhanced use of compliance technology.
- Prepare management reports, metrics and regulatory updates for senior leadership and governance committees.
- Support interactions with auditors, control functions and other internal stakeholders.
- Design and deliver compliance and regulatory awareness training tailored to different business audiences.
Candidate Profile
- Solid experience within Compliance, AML, Risk Management or Internal Controls in the Luxembourg financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of the Luxembourg investment funds industry, ideally within an AIFM, UCITS management company, investment management firm, fund platform or similar regulated environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Luxembourg and European regulatory frameworks, including AIFMD, UCITS, AML/CFT requirements and relevant CSSF regulations.
- Demonstrated experience conducting compliance reviews, monitoring programmes, risk assessments, audits or control testing.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage complex regulatory topics and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with a practical and solution-oriented approach.
- Interest in regulatory technology, automation and process enhancement initiatives.
- Effective communicator with the confidence to engage and challenge stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Fluent English is required. Additional European languages, particularly French or German, would be advantageous.
