Principal Systems Administrator

The Linux / Windows Administrator needed for systems operations and administration and overall information systems planning.

Responsibilities

Administration of Linux systems, virtual, physical, all versions, platforms, and configurations
Implement Linux patching strategy with Ansible
Company wide support & administration for systems, which include:

1. Linux Systems
2. Windows Systems
3. VMware
4. Active Directory
5. Various Hardware platforms

Local support for IT Staff and Tier 2 or complex issue resolution when needed.
Responsible for activities related to system administration.
Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development teams
Together with the infrastructure team, you will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for incidents
Conduct monthly security scans and installation of security patches as required
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly system maintenance as required
Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.
Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability.
Monitors the performance of the overall data systems.
