Mainframe Systems Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Systems Administrator for a Direct Hire with a client in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with experience installing, configuring, and supporting Unisys ClearPath MCP mainframe environments to ensure maximum system performance, reliability, and availability.

Salary Range: $125K/Yearly to $132K/Yearly; The Salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mainframe Systems Administrator Job Responsibilities include:

• Install, configure, and support Unisys ClearPath MCP mainframe systems, hardware, and related software components.
• Manage mainframe network and storage connectivity, ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and availability.
• Perform system configuration, systems programming, troubleshooting, and performance analysis for mainframe environments.
• Collaborate with operations, infrastructure, and development teams to support enterprise technology initiatives and system integrations.
• Develop and maintain automation utilities, scripts, and tools to improve operational efficiency and system management.
• Provide technical support for mainframe integrations with Windows, Linux, network, and storage platforms while assisting with software installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe Systems Administration, Systems Programming, or related infrastructure support.
• Strong experience with Unisys ClearPath MCP/Libra mainframe installation, configuration, system software support, and network/storage integration.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux integration, systems programming concepts, automation scripting, and enterprise mainframe operations support.
