Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Degree equivalency: 6 years of relevant experience
• Preferred: Master's degree

Required Experience

• Minimum 9 years of related IT experience
• Minimum 2 years of corporate planning or strategic development experience
  • Experience may be concurrent with the IT experience.
• Preferred:
  • 11 years of related IT experience
  • 4 years of corporate planning or strategic development experience

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM z/OS storage environments.
• Configure, initialize, and maintain DASD devices.
• Manage and monitor SMS storage groups and utilization.
• Develop and maintain SMS Client routines.
• Use ISMF to translate, validate, and activate SMS routines and maintain SMS constructs.
• Configure and administer HSM environments.
• Configure and administer RMM.
• Perform DFSMSdss full-volume and logical-dataset dump and restore operations.
• Create and maintain storage management utilization reports.
• Support storage-related operational activities and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to improvements and modernization of the storage environment.
• Work collaboratively with the broader Operations team to maintain reliable daily operations.

The role is part of an Operations team supporting daily technology operations and modernization initiatives. The immediate team consists of 3 members within a broader team of 26.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on IBM z/OS storage administration experience, particularly with SMS, ISMF, HSM, RMM, DASD, and DFSMSdss. Experience with Luminex, TDMF, PowerMax/SRDF, T-REX/UDM, or zEDC is beneficial.
