Senior Backend Engineer – Java, Python, AWS & Claude - REQUIRED

We are looking to quickly stand up a team of highly skilled Backend Engineers with strong hands-on expertise in Java,Scala, Python, and AWS. Candidates should have a proven track record of building scalable enterprise backend applications and APIs.

Experience using Claude for coding/software development is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Python
• Develop enterprise applications and microservices using Spring Boot
• Design, build, and integrate robust REST APIs
• Develop cloud-native/serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and other AWS services
• Apply Spec-Driven Development (SDD) practices
• Leverage Claude for code generation, development acceleration, testing, and code improvement
• Write high-quality, maintainable, secure, and production-ready code
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, and product teams

Required Skills

• Expert-level Java
• Expert-level Python
• Strong Spring Boot experience
• Strong AWS, including AWS Lambda
• Excellent API development experience
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and coding skills
• Experience with automated testing, Git and CI/CD

Highly Preferred

• Hands-on experience using Claude for coding
• Experience working in large-scale financial-services or enterprise environments
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment
