Job Description

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Entarian is seeking a Software Developer to support the design, development, i ntegration, deployment, and sustainment of the Application Arsenal (AA) enterprise service. The Software Developer will work as part of an Agile, DevSecOps engineering team responsible for delivering secure and resilient software capabilities from concept through production deployment and operational sustainment. The position requires experience supporting highly regulated government or Department of Defense environments and developing software for distributed, disconnected, intermittent, and low-bandwidth environments. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design, develop, test, integrate, deploy, and sustain software capabilities for the Application Arsenal platform.
  • Translate user stories, operational requirements, and mission needs into secure, maintainable software solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Develop software using one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, Go, or C++.
  • Implement modern architectural patterns, including microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, services, integrations, automation, and supporting software components.
  • Use Git-based version-control workflows, including GitFlow or trunk-based development.
  • Contribute to the complete software delivery lifecycle, including:
  • Software design and development
  • Code review
  • Unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing
  • Automated test execution
  • Security validation
  • Containerization and packaging
  • Production deployment
  • Operational monitoring and sustainment
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines within government-designated DevSecOps environments.
  • Configure and maintain automated security testing and quality gates, including:
  • Static Application Security Testing (SAST)
  • Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
  • Software Composition Analysis (SCA)
  • Container and image scanning
  • Remediate software vulnerabilities and defects in accordance with applicable security requirements and established timelines.
  • Develop resilient software architectures for disconnected, intermittent, and low-bandwidth (DDIL) operational environments.
  • Integrate software with afloat and ashore Platform-as-a-Service environments, including ACS, CHE, or equivalent platforms.
  • Support secure software integration with Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) and systems operating across disparate security domains.
  • Support deployment to Kubernetes, cloud, virtualized, tactical-edge, autonomous-system, and other authorized operational environments.
  • Troubleshoot software, infrastructure, integration, and deployment issues in laboratory, operational, afloat, and ashore environments.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT), and other system validation activities.
  • Develop technical documentation, deployment procedures, test artifacts, release materials, and contributions to Technical Data Packages.
  • Support fielding, upgrades, exercises, demonstrations, operational events, and rapid agile development activities.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity engineers, platform teams, government stakeholders, and mission partners.
  • Provide technical support for production incidents, sustainment activities, corrective actions, and operational improvements.
  • Perform work in environments ranging from unclassified and CUI to classified laboratories, vessels, and SCIFs, as authorized. Salary range: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI eligible with completed Tier 5 investigation
  • Security + Certification
  • CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent operational certifications.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in software development utilizing Agile frameworks (such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) to design, develop, test, and deliver software capabilities to production environments.
  • Experience must include:
  • Coding in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Go, or C++)
  • Implementing modern architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Event-Driven, or Serverless)
  • Utilizing Git-based version-control workflows (e.g., GitFlow or Trunk-Based Development
  • Participating in the end-to-end delivery pipeline from software design and development through automated testing and production deployment
  • Deploying of Kubernetes, cloud, virtualized environments.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience applying DevSecOps principles in a highly regulated government or DoD-mandated environment, such as Overmatch Software Armory (OSA), Platform One, or an equivalent environment.
  • DevSecOps experience must include configuring automated security testing tools as quality gates within a CI/CD pipeline, including tools or capabilities for:
  • SAST
  • DAST
  • SCA
  • Container or image scanning
  • Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience coding, integrating, and maintaining resilient software architectures designed for:
  • DDIL environments
  • Afloat and ashore Platform-as-a-Service environments, such as Navy ACS, USMC CHE, or equivalent platforms
  • Secure integration with Cross-Domain Solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve software defects, integration issues, deployment failures, and production incidents.
  • Demonstrated experience creating automated unit, integration, or system tests.
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate technical information to government and technical stakeholders. Desired Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD, Department of the Navy, or other federal mission systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerized applications, Docker or equivalent container technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-native, virtualized, or edge-computing environments.
  • Experience with government-designated DevSecOps pipelines and associated security guardrails.
  • Experience with ACS, CHE, OPE, OSA, Platform One, or equivalent government platforms.
  • Experience integrating with Cross-Domain Solutions or other secure data-transfer mechanisms.
  • Experience developing software for tactical-edge, autonomous, robotic, command-and-control, or mission-system environments.
  • Experience with software artifact replication and secure distribution across remote or disconnected environments.
  • Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, incident response, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting FAT, SAT, SOVT, fielding, deployment, or operational test events.
  • Experience working in classified laboratories, vessels, SCIFs, or other secure government facilities.
  • Familiarity with RMF activities, security control implementation, vulnerability remediation, POA&M support, and ATO documentation. Core Competencies
