Software Developer - SQL Server

Contract Type: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire
Location: Phoenix, AZ - Onsite for the first 4 months, then Remote

Job Description
We are seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, support, and maintain web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL Server experience along with hands-on experience in ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio, and Azure.

Experience

• 3-5 years of professional experience working with SQL Server and SQL.
• Strong experience writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Experience designing and developing web applications based on functional and technical designs.
• Ability to follow software development best practices, standards, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications to meet functional and technical designs while following best practices, development standards, and guidelines.
• Support production systems, analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner, and resolve end-user service requests as assigned.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve application defects and development issues in a timely manner.
• Proactively identify and solve complex technical problems.
• Develop application enhancements and fixes to meet functional and technical requirements.
• Complete unit and system testing of application changes to ensure quality and functionality.
• Prepare technical documentation covering application specifications and development deliverables.
• Create software development lifecycle (SDLC) deliverables, including functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements.
• Contribute to the development and completion of functional specifications.

Required Skills

• SQL Expert - 3-5 years of SQL Server experience required.
• SQL Queries - Strong ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
• Stored Procedures - Hands-on experience developing and maintaining stored procedures.

Preferred Skills

• SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
