Duration: Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension and/or conversion to a permanent position
Location: Greater Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid Office Schedule)

The Senior Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supporting strategic sourcing activities, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and procurement optimization efforts. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders and suppliers to deliver cost-effective purchasing solutions while ensuring compliance, quality, and service standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sourcing initiatives for products and services by identifying, evaluating, and recommending qualified suppliers.
- Execute sourcing activities in alignment with organizational procurement strategies, policies, and governance standards.
- Manage high-value and moderately complex purchasing activities from requirements gathering through supplier selection and contract execution.
- Assist with supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, favorable contract terms, and strong service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with business partners to define requirements, clarify specifications, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Utilize strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices to drive procurement efficiencies and value creation.
- Monitor supplier performance, address service or delivery issues, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and procurement leadership.
- Support contract review processes, ensuring adherence to compliance, legal, and risk-management requirements.
- Stay informed on market trends, supplier landscapes, procurement best practices, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and ethical business conduct.
- Support organizational efforts to protect the security, integrity, and confidentiality of systems, data, and information assets.
- Perform additional procurement and sourcing-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or a related function.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing products and services across multiple spend categories.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience negotiating pricing, commercial terms, and contractual language within a compliance-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of:
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Vendor Service Agreements
- Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Software subscriptions
- Licensing agreements
- Ability to identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Proven organizational, project management, and planning capabilities.
- Understanding of procurement regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
- Experience independently developing and analyzing:
- Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
- Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and general finance/accounting principles related to procurement and budgeting.
- Ability to successfully complete background and drug screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master''s degree or MBA in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Dynamics GP and/or ReQlogic (DXC Procurement Platform).
- Experience working with workflow management systems and approval processes.
- Additional relevant certifications, education, or sourcing experience.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a professional office setting with a hybrid work schedule. Duties are largely sedentary and require extensive computer use. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, or lifting up to 10 pounds may be required. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
