Job Description

Parx Home Health Care is looking for a talented Occupational Therapist to join our team! 

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing high quality and coordinated care to patients in their homes and communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home health care, an understanding of state and federal regulations, and a passion for helping patients live their best lives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans for each client, tailored to their specific needs and goals
  • Evaluate and treat clients with physical and cognitive limitations to help them improve their daily living skills, range of motion, strength, and balance
  • Utilize adaptive equipment and recommend modifications to the client's environment to enhance their independence and safety
  • Educate clients and their caregivers on ways to manage their condition and prevent future injuries
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, progress notes, and care plans
  • Stay current with new developments and research in occupational therapy
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards of nursing practice

What we expect from you:

  • Active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Florida
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
