Our client is a Federal Government department seeking a Senior Endpoint Security Infrastructure Engineer to join their Platform Services team in Canberra, ACT .

Role Summary

The role will contribute to the operation, maintenance and continual improvement of ICT infrastructure and endpoint security platforms, with a strong focus on secure, reliable and supportable services. The successful candidate will support Windows Server environments, endpoint security, identity and privileged access management platforms, vulnerability remediation and security uplift activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support enterprise endpoint security platforms, including EDR, application control, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, host-based firewalls and device control technologies.
  • Monitor and respond to CVEs, vendor advisories, security findings and production issues, including remediation, testing, patching and platform upgrades.
  • Support Windows Server and infrastructure services, including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, Group Policy, DFS, SCOM, SCCM/MECM and Intune.
  • Support identity and privileged access management platforms, including Microsoft Identity Manager, Unify Broker, CyberArk and Secret Server.
  • Contribute to security uplift, platform lifecycle management, technical documentation and knowledge transfer.

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience administering and supporting enterprise endpoint security platforms, including application control, endpoint protection, EDR, vulnerability management and security policy management.
  • Demonstrated experience with Airlock Digital, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management or comparable enterprise security products.
  • Strong experience responding to CVEs, vendor advisories, security findings and production issues , including impact assessment, troubleshooting, remediation, testing and change implementation.
  • Detailed Windows Server experience, including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, DFS, SCOM, SCCM/MECM, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop .
  • Knowledge of Australian Government cyber security requirements, including the ISM and Essential Eight , is desirable.

On offer is an initial 6-month contract with 2 12-month extension options within a highly sought-after Federal Government organisation , with a highly competitive daily rate.
