We are looking for Project Manager - Capital Markets for our client in Toronto, ON

Job Title: Project Manager - Capital Markets

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of Project / Program Management experience within Financial Services.
  • Strong experience in Capital Markets, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, or Custody Services.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-scale application modernization, integration, or rationalization programs.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, system integration, data migration, and transformation programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across Capital Markets, Asset Management, and Wealth Management functions.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, budgets, timelines, and governance frameworks.
  • Manage multiple workstreams involving business operations, data, technology infrastructure, and vendor teams.
  • Drive alignment between business objectives and technology execution.
  • Lead application portfolio assessments to identify opportunities for consolidation, modernization, retirement, or migration.
  • Manage integration programs involving multiple upstream and downstream systems across business functions.
  • Define target-state architecture in collaboration with enterprise architects and technology leaders.
  • Oversee migration and decommissioning activities while minimizing business disruption.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, operations teams, and technology organizations.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, identify gaps, and define future-state processes.
  • Present program updates, risks, dependencies, and financial status to executive leadership.
  • Build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups across multiple business entities and regions.
  • Establish program governance, executive steering committees, and decision-making forums.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, risk, and compliance requirements within the financial services environment.
  • Track and report KPIs, milestones, and benefit realization metrics.
  • Drive organizational change management and business adoption strategies.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, training, communication, and release activities.
  • Support operating model transformation and business process optimization initiatives.
