Location: Remote
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until end of November 2026, with potential extension to March 2027
Day Rate: 440 - 500pd (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance Required: Active SC Clearance (Transferable during onboarding, finalised post-start)
This role is part of a significant back-end modernisation initiative, with a focus on the External Interfaces and Common Components domain. The project aims to overhaul banking interfaces, manage reference data services, enhance printing capabilities, and ensure seamless integration with external systems.

It also supports shared components vital for business-facing applications, leveraging seasoned Java engineering teams and AI-assisted development practises to increase delivery efficiency while aligning with other ongoing transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dynamic team to modernise a core client system by upgrading legacy back-end integrations and infrastructure.
• Emphasise test automation, employing tools like Cypress and RestAssured.
• Engage deeply with Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Craft detailed test designs, comprehensive test cases, and robust scripts.
