AWS Solutions Architect

Role: AWS Solutions Architect
Location: Onsite (Plano, TX)

W2 POSITION

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Architect cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
• Develop cloud migration strategies for on-premises applications and infrastructure.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution designs.
• Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles across security, reliability, performance, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Design disaster-recovery, backup, high-availability, and business-continuity solutions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Support CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, logging, and automation.
• Identify opportunities for cloud cost optimization and performance improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex AWS infrastructure and application issues.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and core AWS services.
• Experience with networking concepts: VPC, subnets, routing, NAT, load balancers, VPN, and DNS.
• Knowledge of security and identity management using IAM, KMS, security groups, and encryption.
• Experience with databases, storage, compute, containers, and serverless architectures.
• Understanding of Linux/Windows, networking, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Terraform/CloudFormation and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability using CloudWatch and related tools.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
