Data Scientist with Security Clearance

Razor is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support the development and integration of Big Data and Cloud solutions within a mission-critical government environment. This role will focus on managing, manipulating, transforming, and parsing complex datasets to support analytics and Machine Learning applications. The Data Scientist will work within a multidisciplinary Agile team alongside software engineers, architects, and program leadership to develop data pipelines, automate data ingestion, and integrate applications supporting analytic workflows.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Advanced degree in a technical discipline preferred.

Clearance Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Must have SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
• An in-scope Counterintelligence Polygraph is preferred. Location & Work Arrangement:
• Springfield, Virginia
• This position requires onsite support at the customer location.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with software engineers and architects to extract, transform, and standardize data from multiple sources for ingestion into consolidated environments.
• Design and develop data services and pipelines as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
• Support continuous process automation for data ingestion.
• Support the development and integration of applications for analytic workflows.
• Manage, manipulate, transform, and parse structured and unstructured datasets.
• Utilize statistical programming languages such as Python to extract and manipulate data.
• Work with program management and engineering teams to implement and document complex and evolving requirements.
• Support data preparation and processing for Machine Learning applications.
• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adapting to changing requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support mission-critical data and analytics initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical area.
• Proficiency parsing data in multiple formats for Machine Learning applications.
• Proficiency with Linux shell scripting.
• Experience using statistical programming languages such as Python to extract and manipulate data.
• Strong technical proficiency transforming structured and unstructured datasets.
• Experience developing or supporting data pipelines and data-ingestion processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Oracle Converged Database.
• Experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense organizations or programs.
