Job Description:

Enertis is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our fast growing and diverse engineering consultancy team. The position will report to the Senior Manager of Consultancy. This position is client facing and will require some level of travel. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow as a renewable energy professional. The positions principal duties and responsibility of the include:

  • Supporting Project Managers in management of consulting, engineering and testing projects assigned

  • Producing performing solar resource studies and performing energy production estimates using tools such as PVsyst

  • Producing energy modelling on storage projects using tools such as Homer

  • Analyzing and opining on renewable energy project level documentation such as interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, permits, and environmental reviews

  • Verifying and opining on electrical designs of renewable energy projects.

  • Be able to evaluate or understand production data provided by clients and assisting with analyzing said data

  • Perform reviews and opining of equipment used on potential renewable energy projects.

  • Continuous evaluation of process improvement for technical due diligence reports produced.

  • Manage deadlines and expectations

  • Ensure the highest level of quality assurance and quality control of own work

  • Take full responsibility of the tasks assigned work with autonomy

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of photovoltaic design, construction, and/or maintenance.

  • Strong analytical and technical as well as problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to perform under high pressure and dynamic work environment managing multiple project deliverables

  • Proven experience in solar projects, either in consulting, engineering, construction and/or development. Having storage experience is a plus

  • Excellent understanding of solar electrical design

  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate technical and commercial information and translate that into appropriate and translate into appropriate opinions or assessments

  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a member of a larger multidisciplinary team and to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and planning, prioritizing and organizing abilities.

  • Experience with PVsyst. Experience with other modeling software is a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications

  • A strong personal commitment to continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar engineering degrees.

  • Masters, PhD, MBA, NABCEP, LEED and/or Professional Engineer License are a plus.

  • Four years or more consulting, engineering, construction and/or development work experience in commercial, industrial and/or utility space.

  • Some knowledge of multi-state and federal government regulatory requirements to solar development and operation

  • Some knowledge of general solar construction and operation requirements

  • Knowledge and familiarity of NEC code.
