Techno-Functional QE Engineer (AI Automation)

Mandatory Skills : AI Automation, AI testing skills, Playwright, API Automation, SQL, CI/CD, Mobile Automation(Android & IOS), Retail or e-commerce domain experience, including online shopping, sales, and store operations.

Job Description – Techno-Functional QE Engineer (AI Automation)

1. Functional and Manual Testing

• Strong experience in QA testing, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Review customer requirements, analyze business workflows, and prepare test plans and test strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for new features to ensure quality releases.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Possess strong retail domain knowledge, preferably in e-commerce, online shopping, sales, and store operations.

2. Automation Testing

• Strong hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks and regression suites.
• Experience in API automation using REST Assured is preferred.
• Good knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and integrating automated tests into build and deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to mobile automation testing for both Android and iOS applications.
• UiPath experience is a plus but not mandatory.

3. AI-Driven Test Automation

• Hands-on experience or strong practical knowledge of leveraging AI tools and frameworks to accelerate test automation.
• Experience using AI to generate test scenarios and test cases from business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools for automation script generation, code enhancement, and test maintenance.
• Experience with AI-assisted locator identification, self-healing automation, and intelligent failure analysis is preferred.
• Ability to validate AI-generated test cases and scripts to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
• Knowledge of integrating AI capabilities into existing automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
• Understanding of how AI can improve test coverage, reduce repetitive manual effort, and accelerate regression execution.

4. Team Handling and Leadership

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA, with team-handling experience managing or coordinating a team of at least five members.
• Ability to review test deliverables, provide technical guidance, and drive testing activities across teams.
• Coordinate effectively between onshore and offshore teams, development teams, and other support groups to ensure smooth implementation and delivery.
• Proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and recommend solutions to improve quality and efficiency.

5. Communication and Delivery

• Strong customer interaction, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage daily priorities, and provide timely status reports.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership of testing deliverables, quality metrics, and release readiness.

Mandate Qualifications

• Retail or e-commerce domain experience, including online shopping, sales, and store operations.
• Experience with AI-enabled QE frameworks, self-healing automation, and intelligent test generation.
• Experience with API automation, SQL, mobile automation, and CI/CD integration.
