The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top/side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Stack, move, and organize containers according to yard logistics. • Conduct pre- and post-use equipment inspections to maintain safety standards. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container moves. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety procedures and a keen attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
